Dogs have always been a part of my life.  I grew up around big dogs and small dogs.  Whether it was dogs we had or a friend’s dog, I loved them all.  I have been grooming professionally for over 6 years.  Like most groomers, I started my grooming career by learning the art of bathing dogs and mastering it before I moved onto grooming.  I began grooming miniature Schnauzers and soon progressed to other breeds working alongside seasoned groomers across the country in cities like Chicago and San Diego.  I am a certified professional pet groomer and a graduate of Pet’s Playground School of Grooming in Pompano, Florida.  A firm believer in continuing education, I regularly attend grooming seminars and pet related trade shows around the country to stay informed on today’s cutting edge tools and techniques.

Javier and his FurrKids, Dante and Milo

Though it’s more customary to say that I currently own two dogs sometimes I feel that it is in fact I who is owned by these two wonderful personalities, Dante, a Shetland Sheepdog and Milo, a Boston Terrier.  Dante came to us through a wonderful Sheltie breeder in Indiana and Milo we rescued from a family who were going to surrender him to a local shelter.  These two boys have been through plenty of life’s challenges with me.  Milo prefers to spend his days hunting for the ever elusive lizard or lounging on soft pillows while Dante prefers the cool touch of tile floors and exercises that keep his mind entertained and sharp.  They are pros at long distance car trips and love meeting new people.
